Trying to post my layouts from the previous month on the first Sunday, I just missed by a few hours. ;) I only ended up doing 2 LOs in December, but January I started scrapping a bit more. Here are my layouts from those 2 months. Click image for full size image & credits. :)

What a Bunch of Characters! (2012 edition)

Two years ago, I posted all the characters I've met at Disney. Two years later, meeting characters is still one of my favorite things to do at the parks! At the time I was at 88 unique characters, and thought that was pretty good. Well, now I'm up to 125 unique characters! I also need to remake my Character Layout!

Since I've added so many characters (and seen the same characters with lots of new outfits), I thought I'd repost my list. Last post my target was 100, now it's 150! I know that will be hard, since the more characters I meet, the harder it is to find new-to-me characters, lol. I'm hoping to make it to Star Wars Weekend in May, so that should help my list. :)

Happy July 4 everyone!!

My layouts from the last 2 months, so this is going to be a long post. I'm going to try to remember to post on the first Sunday month since my layout posting is so erratic, but you see I already missed that by a day! Click for full image & credits.

As I said last time, I was determined to finish my Pirate & Princess Party album....and I did! I even have the printed book already! :) All the layouts can be found in order here in my March 2008 gallery. Here are the layouts I haven't posted yet.

Finally got one more 2010 Phils layout done. This album might get done by the 2012 season at this rate!

Over the last few months, I've really gotten into Genealogy, and My History, a great new kit by WM[Squared] Designs, is perfect! I scrapped one of the ship passenger lists I've found in my research.

Then Wendy released an addon to the kit, My History - Extras, so I had to do another layout with the kit, this time with Naturalization papers! I know I'll be doing plenty more with this kit. :)

New Releases

Only two weeks into the year and I'm already falling behind in posting, lol! Well, at least I'm posting today, with some fun new products out at ScrapMatters! Chelle's Creations has revamped an older Valentines Day kit, and the result, My Sweet Valentine, is gorgeous!!

She also has a fun alpha out, Holly Jolly Alpha 2, which matches this kit, her recent Christmas kit, or really anything since it recolors perfectly!

Wendy has a great collab with geniaBeana Scraps, It's Midnight! She also is releasing a great set of coordinating word art!

I didn't take any pictures on New Years Eve, so I haven't played with this kit, but I know it will work for other types of layouts, so I'm definitely going to use it soon!

It's cold as I'm typing this, and I heard the other day that every state in the country, except Florida, has snow! And from friends that are at Disney right now, I know it's pretty cold there, too! Since we're all have snow, I thought I'd post a gorgeous winter kit that came out at ScrapMatters last month, Magical Winterland.

I used the kit to scrap the freezing cold temps while I was at Disney last month. It was so cold, they had to cover up the topiaries and plants! (Click for full image and credits)

I've fallen behind in posting again! I went to Disney for a week earlier this month, and while I was there I got sick. I felt better towards the end of the trip, but then I think I picked something else up because I'm still sick a week later. Oh well, enough of my sob story, lol, lets get to the layouts! This trip we visited Universal one day to go see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was FREEZING that day, and really windy, so the wind chill was awful! So we only did WWoHP & their special Grinchmas show. But WWoHP was awesome!! That's all I've been scrapping since getting home, lol!

I'm a few days late with new releases, but I've been a bit under the weather. :( But I didn't forget and have lots to share!

My friend Melissa (Yzerbear19 in the scrapping world) has just started selling her awesome templates! I've known her for years before either of us started digi scrapping, so I'm really happy for her! MouseScrappers new Challenge

If you've even glanced at this blog, it's pretty obvious that two of my favorite things are Disney and scrapping. Thankfully, there's a site that combines my 2 loves, MouseScrappers! I LOVE this site, you can post your Disney related layouts by category (attraction, show, character, etc), so if you need inspiration, you can easily find it! (Such as, you can't figure out how to scrap Small World, just go to Magic Kingdom-->Fantasyland-->Small World, and look at all the Small World layouts!!) I love this site so much, I'm one of the moderators there! :) Everyone is so nice & helpful, no matter what your level of scrapping expertise (haha), you are welcomed. There's tutorials to help you, whether your new to scrapping, or been doing it for years. Both digi & paper scrappers are welcome. I'm slowly in the process of posting all my Disney layouts, both digi and paper!

Haha, I didn't plan to start gushing about the site, I wanted to post about one of the newest challenges. MouseScrappers has lots of challenges to push you to get those Disney layouts finished!! Some even have adorable Disney related participation prizes. :) There's Weekly Challenges (my personal favorite!), Template Challenges, Telephone Challenges (like the childhood telephone game, you scraplift the layout before you, it's amazing to see the difference from the first layout to the last!), and everyone's favorite, Speed Scraps!

Birthday Blog Train!

Today is Wendy's birthday. Yay Wendy!! To celebrate, the CT for WM[squared] is having this fun blog template train. I'm addicted to templates, so I'm pretty excited about it!

Before getting to the template, we're all sharing our favorite birthday memory. When I was young, I had a birthday party every year. After 7th grade, I didn't really do anything special, maybe going out to dinner. But this past December, I spent my birthday at Disney World!! If you've seen my blog or layouts before, you already know I'm crazy addicted to Disney. I was SO excited to be spending my actual birthday AT Disney! I knew it would be magical! Unfortunately, I got sick late in the trip, so I wasn't feeling that great on my birthday, but I pushed through it, haha! My birthday was the start of Christmas week, so it was the first day the crowds were insane during our trip, so it was probably stupid to go to the Magic Kingdom that day. But, if I haven't mentioned it yet, it was my birthday, and darn it, I was going to spend it near the castle, sick or not, crowded or not! I was jumping for joy that I was there! Here's proof! ;)

We got there when the park opened, and did as much as we could before the crowds got awful. THIS is what I mean by awful:

Around noon (when that pic was taken), we walked back to the train station and decided to just sit there and wait for the parade, which started at 3. It was a long wait, but we didn't feel like dealing with the crowds & I really wanted to see the Christmas parade (I had already seen it during the Christmas party, but I wanted to see it during the day, mostly to get better pics!) After the awesome parade, we left to go back to the room. My absolute FAVORITE restaurant at Disney is LeCellier, and the one thing I wanted to do this trip was to eat there on my bday. This is one of the hardest places to get reservations for on Disney property, and I was SO excited when I got them! I still wasn't feeling well during dinner, so I hardly ate what I had been looking forward to for months. Oh well. :( I still was happy I was there, here's a layout I did about celebrating my bday at LeCellier, using Wendy's collab with Jennifer Barrette, It's Gonna Be A Happy New Year.

We were supposed to go back to the Magic Kingdom after dinner to see my favorite parade, Spectromagic, but I was too sick. Instead, we watched Illuminations from our room. We were staying at the Boardwalk, and had an amazing view of the Eifel Tower. We actually watched Illuminations from our room a few times because the view was fantastic!

Even though I was sick, I still had a wonderful birthday, and nothing could compare to being at Disney on your birthday!!

I got a bit behind this weekend, so I didn't get a chance to post about some fun new products that came out. :) Click the layout pictures for full image & credits!

WM[Squared] has a really fun Easter kit out, Happy Easter. The colors are beautiful!

I did two layouts with this kit! The first also uses Be Inspired - Melody Templates.

This layout also uses Simply Dated Vol 4 and Be Inspired - Megan Template.

WM[Squared] also has a great template set out, Be Inspired - Niki.

I've been back from my combo Spring Training & Disney trip almost a week, and I'm still catching up online! I have a bunch of layouts to post (I even scrapped a bit while I was away!), but I want to first post 2 new products out today.

WM[Squared] has a great template set out, based on one of my fellow Disney loving CTs, Be Inspired - Tanya.

I used one of the templates (along with 'Fat Tuesday' and 'Simply Dated Volume 4') for this layout of arriving at our Disney resort, Port Orleans French Quarter. :) It's the first time we drove to Disney while staying on property, so I *had* to take a pic of the GPS showing where we are. ;) Click for full image & credits.

The day I got home, Andilynn Designs released this gorgeous kit, Fair are the Meadows.

What a bunch of characters!

After getting home from Disney, one day, I decided to figure out how many unique characters I have met on my 5 trips the last 3 years. Turns out, I've met 88 unique characters, and 180 in total (I've met 36 characters more than once.) I think that's pretty good, right? Now of course my goal is 100 & I'm kicking myself at missing some characters that are no longer out that were available on earlier trips. I met 16 new-to-me characters on this trip.

Just thought if anyone cared enough to see how many characters I've met, lol, they probably would want to know who I've met! I also included how many times I met each character, and if they were in different outfits (Minnie wins with most different outfits: 7. That makes sense, though, she's such a girl! ;)) The list is pretty much grouped by movie (I even figured out the number of characters I met at each park...clearly I was pretty bored this day!) This is only characters I've met, it doesn't include characters I've seen in parades & shows, or those I just missed meeting. I would need to get a LOT more bored to include all of them. ;)
